2.3 Manner of execution of subsidy programmes [Section 4(i)(b)(xii)]
The Directorate coordinates and monitors development activities for arecanut, spices, and aromatic plants in sixteen states under MIDH. It directly implements nucleus planting material production programmes for released spices and aromatic crops, supplying them for large-scale multiplication in state department nurseries as approved under MIDH. The Directorate also organizes Transfer of Technology Programmes, including National/State-level seminars and workshops, implemented through State Agricultural Universities and ICAR Institutions.
