2.3 Manner of execution of subsidy programmes [Section 4(i)(b)(xii)]
The Directorate is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the overall activities on the development of Arecanut, spices and aromatic plants in the sixteen states selected for implementation of the MIDH programmes. In addition, the Directorate is directly implementing the nucleus planting material production programme of all the released spices and aromatic crops and supplying the same for large scale multiplication in the state department nurseries as approved under the Mission programme. The Directorate is also responsible for organizing a series of Transfer of Technology Programmes viz. National / State level Seminars, Workshops. These programmes are being implemented through State Agricultural Universities, ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) Institutions etc. Component wise programmes and its financial allocation are given below.

Internal Audit of this Directorate has been completed by Internal Audit Wing (HQ) upto Mar 2023 and 13 numbers of audit paras was raised by audit authority, out of 13 audit paras, 12 paras has been dropped by audit authority and only one para regarding pay fixation is pending and the same is under clarification from DoPT.
